Accepting an Oscar this week for “An Inconvenient Truth”, former Vice-President Al Gore said “People all over the world - we need to solve the climate crisis. It’s not a political issue. It’s a moral issue. We have everything that we need to get started with the possible exception of the will to act. That’s a renewable resource. Let’s renew it.” Yes, let’s! Action is at the heart of the Peninsula Cool Campaign and our community is doing it! But to really succeed, stay focused: Try some new challenges each month. It’s the best way for each of us to play a role in reducing global warming.
HOW DID YOU DO? TAKE THIS MONTH’S POLL! At the end of this week, you’ll receive an invitation to participate in a short poll via email about February’s challenges, which focus on water. Poll responses are the centerpiece of this campaign, and will tell us how many TONS of CO2 the Peninsula Community saved in February, so please respond!
EXPLORE PENINSULACOOL.WETPAINT.COM! With the interruption of winter break last week, we missed a chance to remind you to look at the FULL LIST of challenges for February, which focus on water. Even though this week marks the end of February, you can tackle these challenges at any time.
