HOW DID YOU DO? This is the question the Peninsula Cool Campaign will be asking each of you via email this week (unless you asked not to be emailed): which challenge items had you already done, took on for the first time, or plan to do in the future. Please reply to this email! It will help us build feedback about how engaged our community is in the fight against global climate change and we’re looking forward to hearing from you.

CHECK OUT THE FEBRUARY CHALLENGES on the web site peninsulacool.wetpaint.com. Our team of writers and editors work hard to provide clear and relevant how-to information so that you can quickly identify how to get started. The top four challenges for this month are:

• Insulate your water pipes
• Lower Hot Water Heater to 120°F
• Take Shorter Showers
• Wash clothes in cold water

LAST DAYS TO PUT YOUR ROCK IN THE COOL CAMPAIGN PLEDGE JAR! At the end of the day on Friday, we’ll dump the rocks out, count them up and report back to you how many people in our community have pledged to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions during this campaign. If you lost your rock or never received one, ask Jennifer in the office to provide you with one! Or add a similar size rock you’ve found on your own. Its not too late to join us!
