MARCH POLL RESULTS ARE IN!
We had 39 people responding this time which is up from February, not bad considering the Spring break. The graph below represents how many of those polled were "Already Doing" each Challenge, how many adopted each Challenge since signing the Peninsula Cool Campaign Pledge (Did It!), and how many are still plotting how to get started (Not Yet).

Lots of challenges this month but as you can see the little things add up. For this month the participants of the survey collectively saved 8,645 Lbs of CO2 per year by completing their challenges. That is the same as planing 346 trees or taking .8 cars off the road.
One example of how the little things add up: let's take the phantom or vampire loads associated with say a home entertainment center. With a TV, VCR, DVD player and a cable box all "off" this added up to 28 watts. This does not seem like much but now leave this on for 24 hours a day all year long and you get 245kWhrs of electricity or 147 Lbs of CO2 each year! The little things do make a difference. Thanks to all who took the time to do the challenges this month, you are making a difference!
